Jimmy Buffett has a song called Remittance Man in which he describes a travling man who accepts a"remittance" or sum of money from his family in order to stay the hell away from them. Sometimes I feel just like this and I don't' even get the remittance.
As he writes,

Black Sheep of the family clan,
Broke too many rules along the way.
Remittance Man,
So far away from home,
No they'll never understand,
The Remittance Man."
